An X5.8 flare has occurred with a peak time 01:23 UTC on May 11, produced by NOAA AR 3664. Type II and type IV radio emissions were detected at 01:13 UTC and 01:24 UTC, respectively, during the flaring activity. #solar #weather

An extremely severe geomagnetic #storm (
Kp=9) developed during 10-11 May, 2024. Kp of 9 was reached during the21-24&00-03UTCintervals. This storm is not over yet, with more CMEs on their way to Earth. Strong geomagnetic storming is still possible for the next two (2) nights.
